The tungsten carbide ball peen is an essential tool for knife makers, particularly for straightening hardened knife blanks. Unlike traditional methods that may risk bending or cracking, the carbide peen introduces controlled stress points on one side of the blade. These indentations allow the blank to gradually return to alignment, ensuring a straight blade without compromising its integrity.

The ball peen carbide insert is securely soldered over 12mm deep into a 303 stainless steel hammer bed using 50% silver solder. The carbide is precisely CNC ground with an ANCA CNC grinding machine, ensuring high precision and durability
